I'M BACK FROM KIWI LAND EVERYONEE!(:
NOT TO MENTION LORD OF THE RINGS!(:
it was pretty fun. for some reason, i think this is gonna be a long one(: anyway, i woke up at 230 today. WAS SO DARN TIRED! when i woke up i assumed i had woken up early, at like 8, for some odd reason, BUT YEAH. that's what you do when you come back from a holiday right? HAHA. thank goodness i'm not "jet-lagged" or anything of that sort. yepp. i carefully rolled out of bed very well rested and headed to the dining table to grab a pinky. yepp. PINKY: pink coloured marshmallow and caramel coated in milk cocolate. after which i was still feeling slightly packish and grabbed arnott's hundreds & thousands from my stack of food from New Zealand. i've eaten 8 pieces so far...

DAY ONE: TUESDAY.
prior to checking in our baggage etc, i met mandy for dessert at swensens. yepp. she was a tad late, with valid reason, leaving us only about half an hour to force our ice creams down and head off to meet ms tay and gang. I HAVE TO ADMIT: SWENSEN'S BREADED MUSHROOM THINGYS ARE SO GOOD!!! honest!!! our ice creams were gigantic and we kinda ended up like 5 minutes late to meet everyone, WHOOPS! but alright. checking in was smooth, but also a tad odd. there was this lady, SHE WAS NICE, but a tad odd. she like said to shan that this dude wanted to marry a SINGAPOREAN GIRL. *hinthint*. like oh my!!! disgusting muchhh!
but other than that, it was alright.

we had so much free time before we had to go through customs. [IS IT CALLED CUSTOMS? that place where you pass someone your passport and they like verify who you are or something? WELL, that place.] so we kinda just hung around and like fiddled with our coms. ["WE" being wise beef mandy & i] i remember beef taking out her OH-SO-DANDY TORCHLIGHT! it was so cute!!! it was shaped like a pig and the light came out of it's nostrils. and you could like squeeze this lever thingy to generate light instead of using batterys. HOW ADORABLE(: so alright. when the time came, we packed away our laptops and went through the "CUSTOMS" place. realising that i had to buy something to give the maori people, panda mandy and i headed for those gift shoppe places. EVERYTING WAS HIDEOUSLY EXORBIDANTLY PRICED. disgusting. astonished at the price tags attached to miscule key chains, we left in search of more resonable purchases. eventually i found one, and well, contentedly, WE LEFT for our gate-22, i think. and that was the end of it.

this looks like it's gonna be a long post, judging from everything.

i shall briefly describe the plane ride there. only BRIEFLY as it would be a long waste of time overanalysing every boring detail. anyway, i watched the devil wears prada, john tucker must die and a short portion of cars. i decided to call it a night after watching some twenty minutes of cars after realising it was far too slow moving for my liking. [no offence to the wonders of Disney(:]
THAT'S ALL FOR THE PLANE RIDE.
not long after landing, and collecting our luggage, we met paul & arron. our bus driver chap and tour guide. we were first brought to this GIGANTIC CRATER. ya know, like when the top of a volcano gets blown off during a killer eruption? YEAH. that sorta stuff... yepp. it's mindblowingly beautiful up there, on that volcano. really! pretty pretty. the houses look like little squares from way up there. the amount of cows in new zealand is ALARMING. yepp. we hung around there and ate our delicious subway sandwiches in the chilly spring breeze. the weather's perfectly fine unless the breeze blows(: after the crater, WE WENT BLOKARTING!!!(: oh goshh! it's so fun! really! it's like the funnest thing ever. BEATS SAILING BY ALOT!! i so aint lyingg. and well, the funniest part was when like vanessa crashed into a metal drum filled with trash and all the trash came pouring out and like well, was blown everywhere. DARN FUNNY! and well, the fact that everyone kept getting stuck in irons left me rather amused. [NO OFFENCE!(:] yepp. i got hit by a major gust towards the end of my run. [oh fine, it wasn't that big if you were actually sailing. prob only like 17 knots. HEH.] BUT WHEN YOU CAN'T HIKE OUT, YOU KINDA DIE. YEPP. well, thankfully, i didn't tip over. poor manda did though. and she got like a scrape on her knee. OUCHH! the presence of lamp posts doesn't make it better. but IT'S GOOD FUN. really good fun. I'D SO DO IT AGAIN(:

after having a fun & thrilling time, we hopped onto the bus, with our subway cookies in hand and went to see a gorge. REALLY PRETTY(: and there was a lil bridge which swayed slightly in the breeze. FUN(: yepp. and the water was so shallow, less than 5m deep. IMAGINE IF YOU WERE TO FALL! not such a pretty sight, especially so cause the river channel was super rough. you get the picture. the gorge was just a short pit stop before taking a relatively long [more than an hour or so i'd assume] drive to a restaurtant for dinner. it was called ______ chow. yepp. some chinese buffet place. well, EVERYTHING WAS FRIED! like the veggies were stir fried and prawns and stuff deep fried noodles and rice were fried too. the only thing not fried was dessert. ie the ice cream, meringues, pavlovas. yeah. you get the idea. only mediocre(sp?) food. after dinner, we stopped by a mini mart to buy our fill for the night. mainly water and chips, aside from mandy's seaweed & mint chip and my ever essential SPRITE ZERO. it wasn't long beofre we reached the holiday park. as we dragged our suitcases to the holiday park, it was almost pitch black, except for the faint glow from the lone lampost. there was complete silence, besides the sound of gravel kicked up by the wheels of many suitcases.

fortunately, shan mandy beef & i were lucky enough to stay in a house, together with monica's bunch and raina's gang. yepp. there was a KITCHEN and even a TELLY! yepp. the not so lucky few were assigned rooms. small rooms which proved to be cosy resting spots. project groups were assigned to help with breakfast for the first two mornings. this included taking our the plates, bowls, milk, etc. and drying the dishes. [i'm not too certain, but i'm assuming so.]

I'M GONNA LEAVE IT AS THIS FOR NOW.
...it's long enough.

edit.
DAY TWO: WEDNESDAY.
honestly, i am unable to recall what we had for breakfast that morning. i know it's gotta be scrambled eggs and SOME OTHER STUFF. haha. that's about all i can recall regarding breakfast. ANYWAY, we visited the rocky sea shore. it's far prettyfuller than the one at Labrador Park. it's so cool! i took a photo of the clouds in a vertical line! and the coolest thing is that like beyond that line, the sky was perfectly clear(: HOW PRETTY!(: i doubt you know what on earth i'm talking about. i'll post a picture later, once i'm done documenting the whole trip. we were entrusted with the task of collecting anything we found on the beach that caught our eye. we gathered various seashells of different size and texture. KNOWING US, we never stay ontask. HAHA(: so yeah. mandy, shan, jilly, dele, choey, son and i were constantly snapping totally random photos, many jumpy ones too(: and well, we began writing many dumb stuff on the sand. HAHA. stuff like "new zealand" [that one aint dumb(:], "i love chuckyk" & "i love wade (robson)". yepp. all in true tarded fashion. knowing me, i was careless. when i wanted to take a photo of my feet in the swash, a relatively larger wave washed ashore and within seconds, the foot of my jeans were soaked. DANGG. oh well! it's so typically me(: ie careless and carefree. HAHA.

not long later, we were summoned by the teachers to head towards the rockier side of the shore-where it's known as the ROCKY SEASHORE (with good reason). there we were told to identify the shells we had collected and count how many points we had. shan assumes it's 1000. we're far too lazy to count, you see. that's about how it went down. arron told us some stuff about shells, [things i clearly dont remember]. ONE THING I DO REMEMBER: he told us which one's a horse mussel? it's all long and what not(: so yeah. after that, we went to scout the rocky seashore and look at different ecological systems [i think that's what they're called.]. we caught a couple star fishes. YEPP. and well, snails, hermit crabs. nad's group even caught a glass shrimp! SO COOL! the star fishes aint all that big. it's like they're 5cm wide? yeah. tiny stuff compared to the ones we found at the estuary. so yeah. after playing around the rocky seashore, we climbed this tiny hill.

the hill's a sheep poop haven!
I'M DEAD SERIOUS!!! it's kinda disgusting really. there were like these tiny black pellets. we had no idea what they were. and well, IN THE END, it hit us. HOW GROSS! choey like kicked a pile of sheep poop at mandy! EWWWW! disgusting. very disgusting! yeah. it was kinda steep too. honestly, it's a wonder how the sheeps are able to do such a thing on such a STEEP INCLINE! astonishing, truly astonishing. yeah. the air was "FRESH!" very fresh indeed. well, it was alright if you were standing on the winward side. that's about it, really. since there's so much SHEEP poop on the hill, it was only appropriate that we saw sheep all over!!! yepp. they seemed to enjoy crowding under this tree. how odd(:

after finding our way down the hill, constantly evading clumps of poop along the way, we kinda bummed around for the longest while.

honestly, i forgot what we did after this.
i'm gonna stop here.
